A loading dock fitted with Modern Hydraulic Dock Levellers can turn trucks around in a fraction of the time required for other loading methods.
With such a large variation in transport available, docks must be ready to accommodate widely varying vehicles, container and loads. Modern Hydraulic Dock Levellers are designed to allow forklift, pallet jack or trolley direct access into vehicles for rapid loading and unloading. Less time equals more vehicles per day, per dock & less labour hours.
These Modern Hydraulic Dock Levellers are push button operated. There is no requirement for manual exertion whatsoever.
Modern Hydraulic Dock Levellers can be engaged and disengaged with the truck securely located at the dock thereby increasing safety.
With proper design consideration, the truck doors can be opened after docking. The dock personnel are not required to be on the dock roadway. The vehicle is not moving with the doors open and load vulnerable. Shipping seals can be safely checked and accessed by your staff. These safety features provide a bonus of product security.
Dock levellers are supplied with dock buffers, which may also be ordered separately.
The most popular Modern Hydraulic Dock Leveller is the MMDC107H. These types of dock levellers are all 2140mm wide and are fitted into a concrete pit that is usually created in the external front edge of the warehouse floor. The dock leveller then becomes a part of the warehouse floor.
Two variations of control are available (H1 or H2)
H1: - Single push button controls.
The platform is raised to its full extension before the lip automatically extends. The platform then lowers onto the truck bed with the lip extended.
H2: - Independent Load Lip push button controls.
The platform is raised to a height where the lip can be extended at any point, rather than at the full extension of the platform saving valuable time. The two push button controls give the operator full control over the platform and lip.
Available as Pit mounted into dock as Standard and Tailgate Loader Accessible or mounted on frame in front of dock in the same configurations.
Frame mounted units may be enclosed with insulated panel Igloo and Door Seal for controlled environment applications.
All Dock levellers should be maintained and serviced regularly for optimum performance.
